Analilia Mejia

Analilia Mejia serves as the deputy director of the Women’s Bureau. Previously she worked as the national political director to the presidential campaign of Senator Bernie Sanders. She served as the executive director of the New Jersey Working Families Alliance promoting policies such as paid sick days and minimum wage increases; in 2015, she was recognized by President Obama as a Working Families Champion for her efforts. Analilia also spent more than a decade working with unions across the Midwest, Washington, D.C., and New Jersey where she led political education and engagement efforts.

Analilia earned graduate degrees from the Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations, and the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. She has two young sons and strives to raise them to understand the importance of advocacy.
